USS Alexander Hamilton Reunion XV 2-Those taking the tour MUST all be U.S. Citizens 3-Be mobile (a cane or a walker is acceptable, but wheelchairs and scooters cannot be supported) 4-Must sign up NO LATER THAN 15 August 2024 SUBFORCE/SUBASE of Today presentation with Public Affairs Team and Submarine School Instructors at Dealey Center (the theater). This would give you insight to what the Navy is doing today and how Subase has expanded its training programs. Monument tour of Dealey Center Plaza Area. This gives the history of Subase, including a presentation on the Medal of Honor recipients. A luncheon at the Pub in the bowling alley, consisting of pizza, salad, drinks and desserts. A windshield tour of the base... including, if approved, Lower Base stop for top-side view of an SSN We are also trying to include tours of the Sub School Trainer Facilities... including new escape trainer, fire fighting trainer, ship control trainer, and damage control trainer. As mentioned before, we must have a minimum of 20 people sign up and take the tour. The cost would be AROUND $30.00 per person, which would help pay the expenses for the bus AND the luncheon at the Pub. If you are interested, PLEASE RESPOND NO LATER THAN 15 AUGUST 2024 so the Reunion Committee can make the necessary arrangements with the Base personnel and bus operators. We don't have to have your payment yet, just your commitment. Please direct any questions back to me (Clutch) and I'll try to get answers for you. Our coordinator, Paul Skalski, sent the following: June 15, 2024: HOTEL INFORMATION: Holiday Inn New London 35 Governor Winthrop Blvd New London, CT Room rates are $189 per night. Booking Method: You can start booking your room now. Follow the hotel link to register. HOTEL LINK Select BOOK NOW (On my computer it took several seconds for the "Book Now" button to appear). Select your CHECK IN/OUT DATES. Under RATE PREFERENCE select GROUP RATE. Enter "AHR" Please Note: The group rate is good ONLY for the nights of 10/2, 10/3, 10/4, and 10/5. Any room reservations before or after the reunion dates will be billed at the hotel's regular rates. Cutoff Date / Method of Reservation: The cut-off date for the block is August 28, 2024; once the date passes the rooms that are not picked up will be released back into general inventory and the negotiated rate will no longer be available for booking. Hamilton Association dues. If your name is highlighted on the crew list page, your dues are paid up.
As in the past the cost per crewmember is $20.00 total for both years. This will provide us up front
money for the next reunion, mailing costs, etc. Membership also gives shipmates a vote in any decisions
that will be made with regard to the Association. Please send your dues $$ to Jim Koogler's address above.
